The request specifies video of anything neighbors consider unusual or important to the investigation that dates back to the start of January.
Meanwhile, federal and local authorities have been going door to door in Tucson neighborhoods around Guthrie’s house and near her other daughter’s residence, which she had visited shortly before she disappeared. Investigators are actively examining multiple leads, including a pair of gloves that were recovered as part of the evidence.
To bolster public cooperation, authorities increased the reward for information. On Thursday, a temporary police presence and a front-yard tent were set up at the home’s entrance where Guthrie’s blood was found during the early days of the inquiry, and a doorbell camera captured images of a masked individual the night she went missing. The FBI released an updated suspect description on X, including a note that the person is a male, roughly 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 with an average build. Photos show the suspect wearing a black Ozark Trail Hiker Pack-style backpack with a 25-liter capacity.
The FBI says the revised description should help funnel the thousands of tips they’ve already received into more actionable information. In addition to the updated portrait, the FBI Phoenix office has raised the reward to $100,000 for information related to Guthrie’s disappearance.
Surveillance footage has already been released in the past week. Two videos published by the FBI show a masked, armed-looking individual tampering with the doorbell camera outside Guthrie’s home on the morning she disappeared. Authorities say Guthrie was taken against her will and that she relies on multiple medications, raising concerns about her well-being if those medications aren’t recovered.
Beyond the national spotlight, Savannah Guthrie continued to share personal tributes on social media, including a vintage family home video featuring Guthrie with her children and pink flowers, accompanied by messages of gratitude for prayers and hope.
Field teams have persisted in gathering evidence, with agents walking the terrain around Guthrie’s residence, speaking with neighbors, and examining brush and rock formations for clues. One neighbor described agents surveying the area and seeking information about January 31st and the early hours of February 1st, and whether anyone saw anything suspicious on cameras since then.
In another note of tension, two Guthrie family members were seen emerging from the nearby home carrying bags of mail and other items, as investigators continued their neighborhood canvass.
